Jennakat Tagged Me

TAG!
Rules for my tag,
1. Be honest.
2. Have fun!
______________________

1. How many calenders are in your home?

Three

2. What is your fave season?

Fall because it's not too hot and not too cold.

3. What is your lucky number?

Three because that's how many treats I get.

4. What is your fave month?

October. Because that's when the summer heat goes away for sure.

5. Which do you like best, Planting seeds, Climbing trees, Jumping into a pile of leafs, or, building igloos?

I'll say climbing trees because I used to love climbing trees, but my cat tree isn't as much fun to climb as a real tree. I don't like the other because The College Kid used to make me to go outside when he worked in the garden , raked leaves, or shoveled snow. He used to throw me into the leaves or the snow drifts and it made me mad. It made Mom mad when I used to lay down on her new little pea shoots coming out of the ground. I didn't get that because it was their idea that I had to go help in the garden. So I'll stick with climbing trees.

Now tag some people!

Parker, Pumpkin, and you!

We're Still Here

I thought I'd better check into the Cat Blogosphere to see what's up.

On the home front everything is good, though Mom has neglected our blogs lately.

My Namesake is doing very well, you check him and the other "Mutant Ninja Kittens" out here.

My friend Neelix isn't feeling very well. I'm very worried about him.

He has hyperthyroidism and is losing a lot of weight. Please go purr for him here. If anykitty has any experience or advice on this, I know Neelix's Mom would really appreciate it.

I've also been tagged for two memes!

The first is from William. The rules:
  1. Link to the one who tagged you.
  2. List the rules on your blog.
  3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours.
  4. Tag some blogger friends with links.
  5. Leave a comment on their blog to let them know they've been tagged.
  6. What's a quirk?
1. Check
2. Check
3. Hmmm.....................
  1. I always wake Dad up around 3 or 4 am. Not for any particular reason. Just because.
  2. I like to eat fresh catnip, not just sniff it and roll around in it.
  3. I like to lay on the keyboard while Mom's computering
  4. I actually like getting my l-lysine pill (because Mom serves it with ham baby food.)
  5. I can hear the kitty treat bag being touched from anywhere in the house, no matter what my level of sleep
  6. I like to drink out of a glass rather than a dish.
4. & 5. If I wait on Mom to do that, then I'll never get this posted.
6. My point exactly.

The second one is from Cecilia, The 2Bs & Madness. It's a Cold Box Meme. Here's ours -

Not very impressive. You can click to biggify.

Here are a few selectied items of interest -

Our annual check-up reminder card. Things to note:
The receptionist spelled Catzee's name wrong.
That my remission is going so well that I don't have to go back until our regular check-up.

This coupon is a hint from Mom to Dad. The trouble is that he never looks at the cold box art. This is a problem for Mom because the coupon expires soon.

Mom cuts these things out of the ads every week. But she never uses them. She always gets our Frontline Plus from the V-E-T's office.

This is recipe has been on the cold box door for a squillion years. Mom got it from Bentley and Phoebe's mom. My humans really like it, but Mom just never gets around to putting it in her recipe box. And that was two houses ago!

This is what helps hold that recipe up however. It is an item of great interest, because it was made for Piano Girl by her first piano student. When his cat had kittens, they asked if we wanted one. Mom and Dad said yes, and they picked Me! You can read all about that in Part 6 of My Story.

Finally, this is Dad's contribution. He really thought it was funny. Something about Moses and the Red Sea. I'm a Cat so I don't get it. You can click on it to biggify it better.

I won't tag anykitty, but if you want to play, please let Me know!

Thank you to every body who visits Me even though I don't get to visit back very often. You have and continue to be a great encouragement to Me. Love and Purrs to you all.

Update & Other Good Stuff

First of all, my V-E-T checkup update. This weeks blood counts are still going down, but too slowly to change my chemotherapy. Dr. C is happy with my progress, so Mom is too.

It's hard to tell from some of Mom's photos,

but my fur hasn't grown all the way back from my surgery yet. It's looking pretty good, but Mom says I look "sculpted" on one side. The new furs aren't as soft as my regular ones. We think that's because of the chemo drugs. But at least it's growing.

Next I am pleased to announce that KC awarded Me with the A+ Award from Zoolatry. I'd like to pass it on to DaisyMae Maus & the Feline Americans.

KC also tagged Me for the Wishing Star Meme. Here's mine,

I'm tagging anyone who would like to play, so here are the rules:

1. Think about what it is that you want more than anything, what your heart's desire and fondest wish is, and what it is that you would wish for if you were to see the above wishing star flame across the night sky.

2. Right click and SAVE the blank graphic below.

3. Use a graphics program of your choice and place your wish on this picture:

4. Post Make A Wish Meme and your wishing star on your blog along with these rules.

5. Tag as many people as you like so that there can be wishing stars all across Blogosphere and ask them to please link back to Linda so we can see what wishes others have made and share those wishes with others.

Thank you KC for both of these. Now everyone else, have fun!

Book Meme

The Cat Realm tagged Me for this meme.

Here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the next three sentences.

5. Tag five people and post a comment to
Empress once you post it to your blog so “I” (empress, not us) can come see!

Here is the book: The Works of Jules Verne (by Jules Verne, duh)

" The following are those which the nets of the Nautilus brought more frequently on board:--

"Rays of a red-brick color, with bodies marked with blue spots, and easily recognizable by their double spikes; some superb caranxes, marked with seven transverse bands of jet-black, blue and yellow fins, and gold and silver scales; mullets with yellow heads; gobies, and a thousand other specias, common to the ocean which we had just transversed.

"The 9th of February, the Nautilus floated in the broadest part of the Red Sea, which is compirsed between Souakin on the east coast, and Koomfidah, on the east coast, with a diameter of ninety miles."

Now, I'm going to tag Darly, Casper, Chase, Mickey, and Meemsinc.

How I Got My Name

Boots tagged Me for the "How I Got My Name" meme. If you have had the chance to read "My Story", then you know that my family wanted a Cat and picked Me out from a litter of kittens. I was easy to pick out because I was the only kitten that met Dad's requirements: I was male and I didn't hiss.

Naming Me wasn't as easy. My humans finally decided to write ideas on the marker board in the kitchen. There were four of them then: Dad, Mom, The College Kid (who wasn't in college then,) and Piano Girl. Not only did everyone get to write names on the marker board, but anyone could erase a name too if they didn't like it. I remained nameless for quite a few days. Finally only one name was left, Rascal. And that's how I got my name.

Now, I tag Gemini, Neelix and Sinda.

My Proverb

We have a serious problem at out house. The problem is Mom. The problem is that she would rather play with yarn than let Me blog. I am missing out on a lot of fun and interesting things because of this. I almost missed out on the Proverb thing that Eric and Flynn, and Shilgiah tagged Me for. But here it is. At long last here it is. My personal proverb is ...........

Don't bother The Cat!

I'm a Rockin' Boy Cat Blogger

Thank you to Victor Tabbycat for the nomination!

Now, onto the questions.

1. What were you doing 10 years ago?

Wouldn't it be better to ask Me what I'm going to be doing 10 years from now? I wasn't even around 10 years ago. I still had three years to go.

Ten years from now I may be the world famous CEO of YouTube. My friend, "A Fan of Your Site" suggested a Feline Takeover is in order, so why not. Now all I need is for Mom to buy Me a camcorder.

2. What were you doing 1 year ago?

Living in blissful ignorance, enjoying having complete run of the house all to Myself. Little did I know that On August 18th of last year, Catzee would invade my life, my World, my food bowl, and my litter box.

3. Five snacks you enjoy:

Crunchy kitty treats, tuna juice, tidbits of raw chicken, yogurt, strained meat baby food (any flavor).

4. Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:

Well, I know Kitty in the Window and A Patriotic Song. I also know some poems. See my sidebar for details.

5. Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:

Having a happy (though not always peaceful with Catzee around) home Myself, I'd love to donate quite a bit to the homeless Cats that are featured from time to time on the Cat Blogosphere. I'd also like to help out the Cat Bloggers who are having financial problems. For Myself, I'd like to buy a farm. Somewhere where Catzee and I could go outside and not have to worry about traffic, mean kids, and other hazards. Also, I'd buy Mom a camcorder (see #1)

6. Five bad habits:

Being awakened from a perfectly good Catnap by Catzee, having my head jumped on by Catzee, being told I snore by Catzee, being ambushed by Catzee, and not getting treats as often as I'd like. Obviously these are not my bad habits, but it's the best I could do. My bad habit is getting grumpy about them.

7. Five things you like doing:

Furniture wrestling.......

...... inspecting boxes, going out on the balcony, chasing Catzee around, and watching Mom try to type with one hand while I lay on the keyboard and demand pets and chin scritches while she's trying to work at the computer.

8. Five things you would never wear again:

A collar, a harness, a leash, my rabies tags, and that stupid bow stuck to the top of my head by some stupid human who thought it was hysterical.

9. Five Favorite Toys:

Yarn, Mom's sheep fleece........

.......... Catzee, the Catnip 'Naner........

...... and Feather butt mouses.

Now I'd like to nominate 2 Rockin' Cats for Rockin' Blogger Awards.

For a Rockin' Boy Blogger, I nominate Big D, who gets the blue ribbon above.

For a Rockin' Girl Blogger, I nominate Meankitty who gets a pink ribbon which looks like this (link so that she can get a copy of her award.)

I guarantee there's never a dull moment at their blog. It will be fun to read their answers to the questions.

My Seven Random Facts

I've been tagged by Cecilia, the 2 B's & an M, Zippy, Sadie, & Speedy, Merlin, The West Terrace Cats, Tiger Lily, and Mrs. Sniffles, for this particular meme. (Wow, talk about feeling popular!) Mom blew it for Catzee and Me awhile back when she was too busy to help us respond to another meme we were tagged for, so I put my paw down and insisted that we get to play this time.

Here's the drill:

"Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Those who are tagged need to write on their own blog about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven bloggin buddies to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your blog!"

And here are my 7 random facts:

1 - I like to drink water out of a cup. Mom had to take it away when Catzee first came to live with us because she kept knocking it over and spilling water all over the floor, but she hasn't done that lately so I have my cup back and I like it.

2 - I will only play with toys when Catzee isn't around. As soon as she shows up I stop.

3 - When I greet my humans I turn and present my back side. The appropriate response on their part is to rub my hips briskly with both hands. I love this and always ask for a repeat.

4 - I don't like Stinky Goodness.

5 - I am shy. Whereas Catzee runs to see who's there, I run and hide.

6 - I can count to three. When Mom gives me treats and tells me "Only three," I turn and leave after the third one.

7 - After anybody in the family takes a shower, I help them dry off by licking the water drips off their legs. Sometimes I jump in the wet tub and lick the water drips off the tub too.

Now I have to tag seven more. Hmm. We're usually late on this type of stuff, so in case everyone has already been tagged, I'll play it safe and tag

1 - You!
2 - You!
3 - You!
4 - You!
5 - You!
6 - You!
7 - and You!

Tagged!!!!!!!!!

We interupt this story of my life due to being tagged by Orlando, Eric & Flynn, and Fat Eddy.

Here are the rules:

Here's the rules:The player of this game starts with "5 weird things/habits about yourself ". In the end you need to choose 5 people to be tagged and list their names. The people who get tagged need to write a blog about their 5 weird things/habits, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. Don't forget to leave your victim a comment that says "you're tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Here are the 5 Weird Things/Habits About Me:

1. When I want a drink, I like for someone to pour water out of a cup for me so I can lap at the dribbling water. ( Unfortunately, I can rarely get anyone to do this for me.)
2. I don't like canned cat food
3. I like to eat spiders
4. If I don't want a particular kibble from my food bowl, I will pick it up in my mouth and spit it out on the floor.
5. I like to sit on Mom's feet.

Here are the 5 Cats whom I tag:
1. Pumpkin
2. Ayla
3. Emma
4. Bonnie Underfoot
5. Victor Tabbycat
