They're Still Here

We still have kittens

I still don't like it

Even worse, they're growing

Mom says I should make friends
so I don't have to worry about it.

I say, I want to worry about it.

Oh. They have names now... click here for that.

Rascal,
We think you should worry about it all you want...but those kittens are there to stay!
Eat their food. That's our advice. And sniff 'em when they're sleeping.

Hey Rascal, that's good of you to let them eat meals with you, what a fine cat you are! Tell your Mom that not chasing them out the house and not pulling out lumps of their fur is actually very good and tolerant of you.

If you want to hiss warnings at them, that's fine, kittens have to be told. Pheobe is always hissing at Annie. Annie likes to rush up to people and bump against them to show she loves them, but Pheobe is not that sort of cat, so she warns Annie off with a short hiss. She loves her really, but no bumping, please!

I was so embarrassed when a neighbour brought a new cat home to a cottage next door but one to me and Oscar cat. He pulled all her fur out! I went down to let him in one morning and the alley behind the houses was full of great balls of her white and tortie fluff! I was appalled! Happily our neighbour respected Oscar and sent the tortie cat away to live somewhere safe.

At least they can chase each other and not you. I'd worry a bit myself--they are awful cute.

Aw, man....this is a tough one! The only good thing is that there's 2 of them so maybe they will play with each other and leave you alone, Rascal.

Aww Rascal, they are gorgeous. We didn't know you had kittens. Well not you personally, you know what we mean! You are being good to let them eat next to you.

Rascal, we hope you 3 become friends. They're kind of cute. But they'll never take your place. You're special -- you're Rascal. :)

I'm so sorry to see that you still don't like the kittens, but we sure do.
I hope you can at least hide away from them.

Rascal, I think you have every right to be indignant, since no one checked with you to see what you thought! Oh well, just let them know who the boss is, but take it easy on 'em ;-) Ken and Mary of Fancy Fibers Farm

Rascal, it looks like you are being very patient, and tolerating the kittens eating next to you. Hang in there, buddy.

You know I think you could probably train them up a bit. The good side of having sibs is that you can blame them for anything that gets messed up while the people are away.
