Home

Rascal's home again. He's groggy and grumpy and having a hard time getting around. The e-collar is to protect the sutures, which come out in 10 days. He can get around a little, but when the collar gets caught on something he just stands there. He's taken to backing up to get around, as he sometimes steps on the collar as well. His right front paw is still bandaged from where the IV was, and he isn't too happy about that either. Catzee is beside herself with curiosity, but he isn't in the mood for anything. At least the worst is over, and things will get better from here.

We are glad you are home, Rascal, and we hope you got some good painkillers. FWIW, right after Vincent's surgeries he wasn't supposed to jump up in the bed, but he couldn't stand to stay on the floor by himself, so Mommy made him stairs out of an ottoman & a thick chair cushion (from the matching chair). she covered them with flannel sheets in case he was sick and because they aren't slippery. She used a baby gate to keep him away from the stairs.

We will keep purring for you, Rascal!!!
