A Christmas Flashback Friday

Click to biggifyWhen College Kid and Piano Girl were little kids (before I was born), they had a family Christmas tradition. Every year the family would take a big sheet of art paper and tape it to the refrigerator. At the beginning of Advent, everyone would sign up to draw something for the Nativity Scene. Every day something new would be added: a shepherd, a sheep, the inn, the innkeeper, the angels, wise men, Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, etc.

Mom found this old photo of the one they drew in 1999. That was the Christmas before I was born. (You can click on it to biggify.) I thought you might enjoy it.

Wow! That's beautiful! I've been having DD draw our Christmas cards for us. This year she drew a penguin, but I wanted a nativity...so she drew one, but then I liked her penguin better...so I sent out both! LOL!

I love your tradition. So what will you & Catzee draw? ;)

Hiya, Uncle Rascal!
I and my brudder Mooch want to wish you a very Meowy Christmas! We don't know exactly what a "Christmas" is, but Mom says we'll like it if she ever gets the tree up. We didn't know that a tree means Christmas, so we're puzzled.
(And you should see how big I'm getting! I have beeyouteafull long black furs that Mom brushes. I am bigger than Mama and Moochie! Mom says I'm going to be a very big cat. She said she would try to get pictures of me to send to you.
(And Mom says some of the cats here have poochies, too. What's a "poochie", Mom?)
