Feeling Better
I went for my follow-up check at the V-E-T this morning. Still no report from the pathology lab. Dr. C said they were doing a re-test and we should have the results tomorrow.
But the staples are out and that stupid collar is gone.
The wound is yucky and oozy because some of theskin is dead. There is no infection though.
Dr. C said the dead stuff will slough off over time and new healthy skin is already growing back. At least I'm allowed to clean it as much as I want.
I haven't been able to take a proper bath with that thingon my neck, so if you'll excuse me, I've got a lot of work to do.

We are all so glad you are doing better, Rascal! We know your mom is very worried about you. If we were closer, we come over and give everyone a huge hug!

Wow, your very own racing stripe! Hopefully the new fur will grow back son so your tummy doesn't get too cold! We're waiting for the results with baited breath (LOL) Huggs & scritches! T, N & S.

PS Mom says, if Rascal bothers his incision, cut the cuff part off a man's white sport sock and pull it over his body. That will keep him from getting at it and allow it to heal. That worked well when her cat Shadow had 2 abdominal surgeries.
It is good to see you with the collar off, Rascal! I'm sure you can't wait until your lovely furs grow back. I'm still purring that the test results come back ok.

Rascal I am glad that you can clean up as much as you want. I hope that it is a good thing that the lab is retesting.

Boy, Rascal I bet it feels really good without that collar. I bet your on pins and needles waiting for your blood work. But I bet it will be a good report. Enjoy your bath.

We're glad Rascal's doing better and out of the collar. That would drive any cat or dog crazy.
