Widebody Wednesday

On Monday, Catzee and I had our annual check-ups at the V-E-T. He said I'd gained weight. I'm now up to a whopping 17 and a quarter pounds. That's up from last year, isn't it. That means Mom is supposed to ration my food. 1/2 cup a day. To protest, I decided to stage a sleep in.

Here I am, protesting as hard as I can. Anycat care to join me?

We'll join you, Rascal!! I (Smeagol) am 16.9 pounds, but I distracted the v-e-t too much by throwing such a fit that Mom thinks she forgot to say anything about it. So Mom's thinkin' about rationing my food too. Strider is only 9.5 pounds, so he can pretty much eat whatever he wants, but he'll help us protest too!!

You look MAHVELOUS! And you don't look an ounce over 12 pounds. Why are our moms and dads so obsessed with our weight, is what I wonder.

We're all sleeping in with you, buddy!

Very funny! That IS a lot of weight... If you eat a lizard once in a while you'll loose pounds faster than you can pounce and you wouldn't have to ration. That's how I keep the weight off!

Hey, Rascal!

I'll join you at your sleep in, if you would condescend to admitting me into your world.

I saw your comment on Henry's NOMSS post, and just wanted to let you know that cats don't have the market cornered on full Monty poses or on sleeping. While I am not trying to be a cat, I do LOVE CATS, and know that not all of them will love me. Alas, even my catbro, Merv, is still not sure he completely trusts me yet.

Though I'm not a cat, I offer the paw of friendship to you and would love it if you would come visit GooberStan sometime! Cats are always welcome!

Goob love,
Stanley

Poor Rascal! Rationing sounds awful! My Mom says it's really not good for a kittie to weigh too much and that your Mom is taking care of you because she loves you and doesn't want you to get sick. Mom's meezer Chai (One Who Came Before) weighed 18 pounds and got really sick and had to have surgery because he had too much fat in his belly. He lived for a long time after that but he sure wasn't happy going through it! I think it's better to lose weight before you get sick. But ... all 3 of us will sleep in with you anyway!

we don't think you look fat. that stray (Lucy) that the Lady found is fat, but she only weighs 12 pounds. dunno what's up with that, guess it's a proportion thing - she's all tummy so she looks fatter. you look purrfectly proportioned, and that's what counts. an, ya know what? the people named one of those abandoned baby kittens after you!

Hi Rascal! We're on diets too. Just give mom the sad wyed look and pull in your belly so it touches your spine and she'll cave in every time.
