Couch Wrestling
Karen Jo wrote a wonderful Rascal limerick. When you read it you may remember that I have had a world renowned career in furniture wrestling. In addition to being a Couch Wrestler and a Table Wrestler, I also hold the Midnight World Federation Table Wrestling Championship.
I've decided that it is high time that I take on an apprentice. Guess who.
First I give a demonstration of my athletic prowessand total couch dominance.
I tell Catzee to pay close attention to all of my world famous moves.
She decides to get a better spot so as not to miss any details.
From her vantage point, she observes my demonstration ofmy highly successful Couch Hold. It gets 'em every time.
Then she joins in for some tag team couch wrestling.The couch doesn't have a chance.
I think she's got terrific potential, don't you?

It's obvious the couch is in serious trouble.
I noticed how your mom has given you the very nice scratching post there for you to warm up on...but you both seem to prefer to just tear right into the couch.
Rose's mommy said that the scratchin post that she got was too small and that Rose didn't care for it much. We found that if you point the lazer at it, she would tear at it a bit.
Rascal, are you scratching at the sofa? The Spice Cats do that too. There is one part of the sofa that is totally spoilt. Mmmm....but your sofa looks fine to me.
I would love to have you & Catzee over to watch DD...I'm sure she would have a blast playing with you.
Tonight at dinner she was complaining about one babysitter she had once who wouldn't let her watch the TV show she wanted to see cuz the babysitter wanted to watch something else. I told her that if that ever happened again she should tell the sitter "My Mom is paying you to watch me! So turn off the TV and now it's time for the DD show!" LOL
re: scratchin post. When I had kitties, we made our own scratchin posts with PVC pipe & carpet. We made them nice and tall and they weren't wobbly either. Our cats really liked them...after the glue smell faded. (had to glue the carpet to the PVC)

I am really glad that you like your limerick, Rascal. It looks like Catzee is getting the hang of couch wrestling. She'll probably never be quite as good at is as you are, though.

hey - do you ever pull yourself along the length of the couch with your claws? I do that to the mattress - it gives you a great back scratching.

I've a cat, his name's Plumpy. He's not into couch wrestling but on a good day he'll play with his tail. Plumpy prefers to pose - if you're interested he's here.
