Surgery Update
I just got a call from Dr. C. Rascal is out of surgery and in recovery. Dr. C was very pleased with how well the surgery went. He said it is one of the few times he is happy to work with a fat cat, as they need to remove as much tissue around the tumor as possible. They were able to remove a lot of fat rather than other tissue. We will get the pathology report back on either Friday or Monday.
Depending on how his incision looks this afternoon, he may be able to come home! Your prayers and purrs are much appreciated. I'll let you all know what I hear this afternoon.

Great news! So glad to hear it.
I'm sure his "tummy tuck" will help make him a faster kitty when he comes home.
Give our love to him.
That is great news. I will keep purring for him!
Oh golly, Leigh, you should have said something! Our thoughts are with you and Rascas - hoping he has a very speedy recovery! T.
Oh, we're so glad to hear that it went well!! We'll purr and purray that he can come home today, and 'specially for good news from the report.
The vet said the same thing about Vincent when they removed his tumor. We are purring for Rascal. Vincent recovered quickly from surgery and we are hoping that is the case for Rascal too.

I am purring and purring for Rascal. Staying in the hospital is No Fun! I think he knew that extra fat would be very important to him one day! Now we just have to hope for a good pathology report. Waiting is very hard.
I'll purr extra hard for Rascal! I hope he gets to come home soon.
Yippeee! (All join hands and start dancing)
See? It really is better to have a fat kittie. :-)
Rascal, I's so glad to hear yur recoverin ok! When I was at the vet fur teef cleanin, wakin up was weird. There were purple flyin mousies all round, but I couldn't catch em. Lemme know if you see flyin purple mousies at yur vet. I fink they's kinda like fairies, only visibul sumtimes.
Purrs and best whishes, Victor

See, I told my mommy sometimes it pays to be "husky"! We're glad that Rascal is doing ok, hope he comes home tonight!
Leigh,
We are ALL keeping good thoughts and purrayers headed your direction for Rascal! We are hoping for the best news about the tumor. (I have lost cats to cancer before, so I know how worried you are right now)
