The Least Mom Could Do

For the most part Mom has it pretty easy around here.

Of course she is on duty 24/7, but we rarely ask much of her. All we want is an occasional treat, an occasional scritch, an occasional lap to nap on, someone to open the door, etc.

So is it really asking too much for her to not allow the food bowls to reach this deplorable condition?

Poor Rascal pleadingly asks Mom to tend to his food dish. There are only two rules regarding food bowls.
1. No crumbs
2. No bottoms showing.

Is that too much to ask? Really?

So I ask you, which bowl would you prefer to eat out of????

No Cat should have to put up with this.

That is just wrong.

Sad, and wrong.

Poor Rascal.

That's right. It's very important to eat right from top to bottom in the very center of the bowl, ignoring the sides completely... it is the way of our people!

Bravo! I mean, this is the primary reason I am forced to pick the trash. The food dishes are not nearly full enough. One should not have to ever touch the bottom.

Oh, that is sad. BTW Bubbles has the same bowl as you!
Mrs. B says you should be glad you at least have some food in your bowl. Her bowl is always EMPTY.

Definitely the bowl on the left. Yum.

Sometimes we have to lick the crumbs out of the bowl before our mom notices. ::scowl::

Our bowls used to always look like the one on the left, but ever since Mommy muttered something about a "diet," they've been looking more like the one on the right. And we don't like it one bit!

When scrolling down to your previous posts http://welcometorascalsworld.blogspot.com/2006/09/time-to-eat.html I see that the condition of your food bowl is entirely your fault.

Emma and her crew think you're very lucky to usually have your bowl always full! I'm mean momma and they only get 4 small meals a day! I do give them treats in between...usually!! Lol!

re: comments on vacation. I totally understand your reluctance to vacationing...and I believe that pets just don't understand why we would leave our purfectly good homes to see someplace else with strange noises & smells. That's why Lilly stayed with grandma who she loves.

But would you believe that there were families there who brought their dogs and one lady had her cat on a leash there!!! For a while during our walking tour she was allowing the cat to climb up a tree and then would pluck it off and let it go up again. Poor kitty! I'm not sure why these folks did this as they did not allow animals inside the buildings unless they were service animals...and these clearly were not.

Looks like you like the food in the almost empty bowl better. I'd tip the ofur bowl upside down and say YUK.

Well, I'd prefer the one on the left. But, around here, we are more likely to see the one on the right. Damn, this stupid diet.

Momma lets our bowl get all low like that and she says it is cuz her eye can't see good. Do you think that could be it?

Hummy muttered somming about the automatic cat feeder and us learning how to scoop food out of it.

We think we are very cleaver for learning how to cheat the feeder.

Crumbs are crummy. We know. We see them a lot around here too. Sigh.

I agree, Rascal. Your humans should at least maintain your bowl in attractive condition. I have the same problem all the time! The bottoms showing makes it very unappetizing indeed.

You look very cute looking up with your yellow eyes :) -Leo

I rather like the crumbs. They go down real easy and there is no need to chew them. And to add to what my bruddy Petey says, if'n we don't eat the crumbs then the mom won't fill the bowls back up.
