Weekly Check-Up & Report
I am trying to hide from Mom's flashy box because I am grumpy because she stuffed Me into the PTU this morning and forced Me to endure the torture of having to ride in her green machine, having my blood taken, and being examined by the V-E-T.
Today they discussed my white blood count, platelet count, and weight. My WBC is just getting below normal, but Dr. C says that since it's taken so long to get that low (4 weeks), we will just leave my chemotherapy as scheduled (every other day) for the time being.
My platelet count is ok, but he was concerned because it took awhile for the spot they drew blood from, to stop bleeding. He said the count was still within normal limits, but that they'd keep an eye on it. He told Mom what to watch for and to call him if I started bleeding from my gums or the other end when I used the litter box.
My weight is down to 15 pounds, so he asked Mom how I was eating. She told him that I was hungry and asking for food, but just nibbling at it. He told her to get some Pepcid AC and give Me a quarter tablet everyday in case the medications are upsetting my stomach. That means another pill and this is something else I'm not happy about.
At the moment, all I want is to be left alone so that I can go take my morning Catnap. But, here comes Mom with the pill pusher. Woe is Me. Won't this torture ever end?!?!?

Oh Rascal, I hope you do not have an upset tummy. I hope that you start feeling better with all of this. Purrs.
oh poor Rascal kitty! I hope your mom lets you get your catnap soon...I know you're running way behind on your daily requirement of sleep.
Rascal, you are such a brave and patient mancat to put up with all of that! I hope you continue to do well and don't have any problems. Hang in there, buddy, and hopefully soon you will be a healthy house panther again!
Poor Rascal. It is for your own good, but sometimes I don't think it's worth the trouble. Have a good nap. I'll be purring for you.
Poor Rascal! You do look good, I think, and everything seems to be in the normal range, kind of?
We hope you will feel better and get better soon!
Maybe that Pepcid AC will help and you'll eat more!

Awwww Rascal! Hang in there! those pills are meant to help you!
Meowm and I are purraying for you!
I hope the pepcid calms your tummy and you feel more like eating than you have been. I also hope next week's visit goes a bit better for you regarding the blood work results.
Dearest Friend rascal,
Does your mom know about Feliway spray? Our mom uses it in our PTU before she stuffs us in it to carry us to our V-E-T. Our Dr. Bill has his office on round things like Mom's car, so he comes here, but she still stuffs us into the PTU! (We love our Dr. Bill. He has even come into the house to help a few of our Old Ones cross the Rainbow Bridge. He is always kind.)
Feliway smells like the good rubby marks we leave on the doors parts with our cheeks, so we calm down a bit. We still don't like the PTU, but it smells better than just the clean towel Mom has in there.
Why don't people have PTUs for themselves, if they're so great?
You be the strong Man-Cat that you are, Rascal...you are in our purrayers!
